Mr. Saqib Soomro has the stamp of almost every county in the world on to his passport. He has travelled to all over the world and because of this much travelling his mind has been programmed in such a way that it welcomes new cultures and religions. As we went deep in to the discussion with Mr. Saqib Soomro, we could understand that he had great respect and love for all the religions and cultures from all over the world. He often came up with a quote, that why hate? According to him, peoples and clerks’ are the ones who are responsible for inculcating hatred amongst the people, especially younger ones, because their minds and very fragile and can easily be programmed in a bad way.
Mr. Saqib Soomro and his point of view on the South Asian region:
According to Mr. Saqib Soomro, South East Asian region is filled with diverse cultures and religions. You find lots of religions here such as, Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, Sikhism and many more. And according to him these all religions tell the same story of love and peace amongst each other. All religions teach the same thing but in a different way, all work for the prosperity of humanity but is different from each other. According to Mr. SaqibSoomro, he hasn’t found a single religion which is better from other, every religion has its good things and some short-comings, but Mr. SaqibSoomro always tells to ignore the shortcomings and work for the betterment of humanity and society, because he always quotes Edhi’s saying that Humanity is the best religion out of all.
Mr. Saqib Soomro and his view point on the cultures:
Mr. SaqibSoomro always propagates that understand of each cultures opens up the mind of a person, it takes a person out from isolation, as Mr. SaqibSoomro states that, when Pakistan, India and Bangladesh were together, all these three countries had shared a strong bond with each other by the way of fusion of cultures into each other. Mr. SaqibSoomro states that we can have a look in to the weddings that take place in Pakistan and India, he tells that how much similar they are, 90% of the culture between the two countries is fused together, which makes a very beautiful bouquet which emits different fragrance of uniqueness to each other. Mr. Saqibsoomro also told us about the culture of westerners, that they are very stern to the point and are entirely different from the people of Sub continent. They have very simple weddings and do not believe on pomp and show whereas in the south East Asia, you can see how extravagant weddings are.
